# Ignoring Firewall Rules

In certain scenarios, it may be necessary to activate the Firewall to block access outside the internal network, but allow specific users or groups to access from any IP address.

You can enable the "ignore firewall rules" option on the user or group registration screen. This will allow the user to access from any IP.

If this option is disabled for the user but enabled for a group they belong to, they will still be able to access the portal normally.
